I was hired to design a 'Proof of Concept' SVOD prototype for NASA, aimed at organizing and updating their extensive collection of video footage and imagery to reduce friction of asset discovery and playback both internally and externally.

This prototype showcases an alternative approach to a single or multi-paneled hero as well as a redesigned mega menu, search facets, categories and product pages. A script was written for users to accomplish various goals while being observed during several rounds of usability and user tests both in lab and remote.

As with the website, the TGC apps went through many iterations throughout the course of my TGC engagement. The TGC app allowed course owners to access and enjoy all of their purchased media on the go, anywhere, anytime.

OTT apps (Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Google TV etc.) allowed course owners to access their purchases on their TVs. Unlike The Great Courses+, users did not have access to the broader library of courses and content.
